Vultures on and around the Mound.

On a neighbor's house

Over the Mound

There were about five of them in all and two red-tailed hawks, but I wasn't fast enough to snap a picture of the hawks.

Update: It was a dead possum (according to my babysitter's mom).

Sorry I had to fly away before the sun went down and I turned back into Michelle Pfeiffer.

Gosh, Nancy, you really are in Texas! No vultures here but we have lots of red tailed hawks. It looks like you're in a fairly new housing track? Rural?

Twenty years ago it was all meadow and farmland, I guess. Now it's all Starbucks, Best Buys and Super Targets. A little to the west of us, though, there's still plenty of farmland.

I like to take a drive out there now and then when I need to clear my mind.

Sounds like a little crock-pot possum is on the Matocha menu for dinner?
